The L'nu of Turtle Island have always held queer and trans identities in high regard;QUEER LIBERATION IS A RADICAL ACT OF DECOLONIZATION.Mi'kma'ki is the birthplace of African presence in Canada, and T.R.A.N.S. acknowledges the endless contributions to community and culture from people of African Descent over the last 400 years of continual presence in Mi'kma'ki and across Turtle Island. Despite Nova Scotia’s historical practice of dispossession and displacement, over 50 historic African Nova Scotian communities still thrive across Mi'kma'ki today.
